Black Belt Homologation

This is for those who hold a black belt (Dan) in another style and would like to "cross rank"/ homologize into Koga Ryu Ninjutsu. The individual  would pay the fee and mail a DVD or CD (not VHS) of themselves demonstrating basic, intermediate, and advanced techniques. Once reviewed and approved the individual would be mailed an equivalent rank certificate in Koga Ryu Ninjutsu. This is only available up to Yondan (fourth degree black belt).

Under Belt Homologation

This is for the individual who holds an under belt (kyu) in another style and would like to "cross rank"/ homologize into Koga Ryu Ninjutsu. The individual would pay the fee and mail a DVD or CD (no VHS) of themselves demonstrating basic and intermediate techniques. Once reviewed and approved the individual would be mailed an equivalent rank certificate in Koga Ryu Ninjutsu.

Cost $50

Testing Through the Koga Ryu Ninjutsu Society

To take advantage of these services you must already hold rank from the Koga Ryu Ninjutsu Society.

Black Belt Godan Test (Sakki)

This is for those who currently hold Yondan (fourth degree black belt) through the KRNS and wish to test for Godan (fifth degree black belt). This rank signifies mastery in the style of Koga Ryu Ninjutsu. It is the last testable rank that the KRNS issues, ranks above Godan are issued on an honorary basis. This test involves a sword evasion test that must be preformed by Grand Master Ronald Duncan of the Way of the Winds System. The following process must be followed:

1.) Contact the KRNS via email to gain permission and make sure you are cleared to take the test. The KRNS will then coordinate with Master Duncan and respond to the member with an outline of the testing procedure and possible testing dates and locations.

2.) Pay $50 Paper Work Fee (this covers the hand painted certificate if the member passes).

3.)Pay $200 to Grand Master Ronald Duncan to preform the test.

4.)Emai of mail an essay on the martial arts to the KRNS.

5.) Get the final sign off and take the test.  

Black Belt Test for Advancement (Shodan through Yondan)

This is for those who wish to test for advancement in rank 1st Degree Black Betl through 4th Degree Black Belt

The process that must be followed is:

1.)Email the KRNS for permission/clearance to test.

2.)Pay $35 Fee  (includes shipping of certificate if passed) 

3.) Email or Mail essay on the martial arts to the KRNS.

 4.)Mail Demonstration to KRNS. Acceptable formats include: DVD (region 1), VHS (NTSC only), or CD.  

Once all these items have been received and reviewed, you will be mailed your appropriate certificate (if passed). If failed, you may re-test for no additional fee. Please direct any questions to kogasociety@hotmail.com

Under Belt Test for Advancement (Ku Kyu through Ikkyu)

This is for those who wish to test for advancement in rank 9Kyu through 1st Kyu.

The process that must be followed is:

1.) Email the KRNS for permission/clearance to test.

2.) Pay $20 Fee (includes shipping of certificate if passed)

3.) Email or mail essay on the martial arts to the KRNS.

4.) Mail demonstration to KRNS. Acceptable formats include: DVD (region 1), VHS (NTSC only), or CD.  

Once all these items have been received and reviewed, you will be mailed your appropriate certificate (if passed). If failed, you may re-test for no additional fee. Please direct any questions to kogasociety@hotmail.com
